New Mexico Behavioral Healthcare, located in the heart of Albuquerque, New Mexico, offers a recovery-focused and person-centered integrated model of care for adolescents and teens aged between 13 & 17. New Mexico Behavioral Healthcare recognizes the growing need in Albuquerque, New Mexico for comprehensive evidence-based treatment options for youth with psychiatric and behavioral disorders, including substance abuse. Our hospital provides intensive interventions for youth with chronic and pervasive psychiatric, behavioral disorders and substance abuse. We accept multiple forms of payment, including Medicaid and other types of Medical insurance.

OUR ADOLESCENT MENTAL HEALTH FACILITY
Our primary goal is to offer a safe and secure environment for adolescents, while advancing their path towards wellness and recovery from their mental health conditions. Stabilizing from an acute traumatic experience, stressor, and other psychological disorders may require 24-hour supervision to ensure the patient’s safety and treatment. Whatever it may be, New Mexico Behavioral Healthcare is here to assist with this journey towards a healthy recovery.

We are especially proud of our total wellness program, which features physical fitness, nutritional health, vocational training, peer support structures, and school credit during recovery in the on-site accredited educational program. Additionally, our treatment incorporates a wide array of interventions, including individual/group/family therapy, recreational therapies, and psychiatric medication evaluation and management.

As a secured facility, New Mexico Behavioral Healthcare provides a safe a secure environment enabling us to meet the needs of clinically complex teens and adolescents who require the highest level of care and needs. The delivery of the services and programming align with New Mexico Behavioral Healthcare’s mission to serve each child, family member, and caregiver with the utmost Empathy, Authenticity and Purpose. Safety is the focus in our residential mental health facility. Adolescents undergoing treatment need to be protected and feel they reside in a safe space. We ensure that each young person has the medical and psychological support necessary to progress in healing. We also explain in detail to parents and caregivers the specifics of the facility their child will reside in so they understand how well-protected they will be. We update the family as treatment progresses and invite them to attend family therapy sessions.
